A CHEAT SHEET FOR EVEN SHELF HEIGHTS

This cheat sheet is for all of us out there who prefer our shelving to have even shelf heights. We’ve eliminated the need for calculations and frustrating trial and error. Now you can get those shelf heights right straight out of the box with this little cheat sheet which includes heights for all our heavy duty and standard shelving models. However, if you have taller products you are thinking of storing, our shelves are fully adjustable, so you can put them at whatever height you require.

  • Tools Used: Rubber Mallet
  • Difficulty Level: Beginner

STEP 1

heavy duty 5 tier

For our 5 Tier Heavy Duty Shelving, we recommend attaching brackets and braces for the bottom shelf first. Next, attach the brackets and braces for the top shelf. With this structure in place, attach the brackets for the next shelf, 12 keyholes up from the bottom shelf, followed by the remaining brackets/shelves, 11 keyholes each above the shelf below them. This should leave you with 11 keyholes to the top shelf and give you even shelf heights.

STEP 2

heavy duty 4 tier

For our 4 Tier Heavy Duty Shelving, we recommend attaching brackets and braces for the bottom shelf first. Next, attach the brackets and braces for the top shelf. With this structure in place, attach the brackets for the next shelf 14 keyholes up from the bottom shelf, followed by the remaining brackets 13 keyholes above that. This should leave you with 13 keyholes to the top shelf and give you even shelf heights.

STEP 3

6 tier

For our 6 Tier Standard Shelving, we recommend attaching brackets and braces for the bottom shelf first. Next, attach the brackets and braces for the top shelf. With this structure in place, attach the brackets for the next two shelves (from the bottom shelf), each 11 keyholes up, followed by the remaining brackets/shelves each 10 keyholes up from the shelf below it. This should leave you with 10 keyholes to the top shelf and give you even shelf heights.

STEP 4

5 tier

For our 5 Tier Standard Shelving, we recommend attaching brackets and braces for the bottom shelf first. Next, attach the brackets and braces for the top shelf. With this structure in place, attach the brackets for the next shelf 12 keyholes up from the bottom shelf, followed by the remaining brackets/shelves 11 keyholes and 12 keyholes each above the shelf below them. This should leave you with 11 keyholes to the top shelf and give you even shelf heights.

STEP 5

4 tier

For our 4 Tier Standard Shelving, we recommend attaching brackets for the bottom shelf first. Next, attach the brackets for the top shelf. With this structure in place, attach the brackets for the next shelf 12 keyholes up from the bottom shelf, followed by the remaining brackets 11 keyholes above that. This should leave you with 12 keyholes to the top shelf and give you even shelf heights.
