With only a few materials and very simple steps, these hand-painted ornaments made from Pinnacle Hardware hinges are a great way to add a unique touch to this year’s Christmas decorations or could even make great gifts for friends and family.
So, get out those paints you’ve been keeping in the cupboard because it’s time to get creative! Who would’ve thought a hinge could be described as cute? Well, after you’re done with this DIY, you’ll know why.

MATERIALS
Pinnacle Hardware Strap Hinges or T Hinges, paint primer in a spray can, acrylic paint, twine or ribbon.
STEP 1
Begin by giving your hinges a coat or two of white paint primer. This will help keep the colours vibrant when you paint on your design. Allow this coat to dry.
STEP 2
With a pencil, roughly sketch out your designs on the hinges.
STEP 3
Fill in your designs with paint. You may need more than one coat, depending on the type of paint you use.
STEP 4
Thread your twine or ribbon through the top hole of your hinge and tie a knot to form a loop.
These will be a great addition to the Christmas tree, so get creative with the designs because the sky’s the limit!
